The full name of a BAMS course through distance learning is “Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine & Surgery”. To take admission in this degree, students must hold 60% aggregate marks in Class 12th examinations while having core subjects like Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. After completion of the BAMS course, you can work in positions like Ayurvedic Pharmacist, Research Scientist, and Product Development Specialist. The average salary package that you can have is INR 4 to INR 6 LPA.

BAMS Distance Education admissions are open for the new session, and the last date is 20th May 2026*. Candidates can apply online. Aspirants can fill out the admission form by visiting the main website. In India, students can seek many universities for a regular BAMS course such as Parul University, Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University, and Banaras Hindu University. To be eligible for a BAMS course, students need to have passed their 10+2 along with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as core subjects with at least an aggregate of 45% to 50% from a recognised board. Generally, the fees for the online application form are between INR 800 and INR 1,500, depending on the category.
